NORIGIN MEDIA, a TV Everywhere Company, which enables multi-screen TV products, today announced the company has entered into a partnership with BOXER TV, owned by the Teracom Group, for the licensing of its multi-screen Hybrid Apps solution in Sweden and Denmark. The new TV Everywhere (TVE) client apps will extend the current Boxer TV service to mobiles, tablets, PCs & Macs to deliver OTT (Over-the-Top) TV and video content to customers across Scandinavia.
As part of Teracom Group, which owns and operates DTT networks with pay TV services across Sweden and Denmark, Boxer TV is one of the Nordic region’s largest pay TV companies and has been delivering content on the Swedish DTT network since 1999. The company currently offers over 50 live channels and a comprehensive video-on-demand catalogue to one million subscribing households in the region.

NORIGIN MEDIA’s Hybrid Apps product is a multi-screen application suite which utilises the benefits of HTML5 within natively coded applications, for common implementation. This enables maintenance of one single product across all devices ranging from Connected TVs, Game Consoles, Tablets, PCs & Macs and SmartPhones. The Hybrid Apps will be integrated via ready plugins to the service providers’ chosen video platform, future-proofing the service and maintaining a robust roadmap for the further evolution of the company’s TV offering.
