Nenda, a company that aims to disrupt the worldwide B2B TV market with a new streaming service for hotels, will partner with Norigin Media, a leading Nordic TV tech solution provider with customers such as Bonnier, Orange, FOX and Deutsche Telekom. The collaboration will strengthen Nenda’s position in the market with a user-friendly interface with unique features and system integrations.

The move completes Nenda’s procurement process for its front end, which is a vital step towards taking the leading role in the multi-billion-euro worldwide market for B2B TV.

Norigin Media won the bidding, which took place this spring. Its mission is to develop Nenda’s user interface, including SMART TV apps for AndroidTV, Tizen and WebOS, as well as develop adaptations and integrations towards the back end and the hotels’ systems.

“It’s always exhilarating to get to work with a new and innovative concept. We are excited to be working with Nenda and their ambitious vision to improve the TV experience in hotels and other neglected B2B segments,” says Ajey Anand, CEO, Norigin Media. “With this new partnership, we look forward to updating old technologies that are still in use across the world.”

The user interface requirements in the hotel sector are especially high. The service must be easy and intuitive to navigate without technical knowledge on the part of hotel guests of all ages. Also, thanks to integration directly into the hotels’ systems, the TV experience is directly linked to the digital guest journey and enables new unique functionalities, personalization opportunities and business models.

Anders Hässel, CEO and co-founder of Nenda, says that his company’s strategy is to work with the most competent partners in each development area. “We have very high demands and have had a tough selection process,” he says. “No compromises are being made regarding the stability and quality of Nenda’s technical performance.

“Norigin Media has, with enthusiasm and professionalism, transformed Nenda’s vision into a concrete concept that we can stand by,” Hässel adds. “We are impressed with Norigin Media’s track record and look forward to working with a partner who understands and shares Nenda’s vision.”

About Nenda

The “hotel experience” is a well-known expression that describes a “better-than-home-feeling,” but the TV experience in hotels is inferior to what guests experience in their homes. Today’s technical solution is also both expensive and complex for hotels to handle.

The streaming service Nenda is the solution to the problem: An all-in-one streaming service with movies, sports, linear channels and rental shop. Today, it is in discussions with the Nordic region’s largest hotel chains and tests are booked after the summer.

The hotel TV market is a global, multi-billion-euro market and there is a total of more than 16 million hotel rooms, a number that is growing quickly. Nenda has global ambitions for all B2B segments, but is initially launching in the Nordic region with a focus on hotels. It will then expand to other geographic markets and business segments.
